Starbucks Coffee Robson Street around 1989: I worked here for several years and really enjoyed it much of the time, especially my co-workers and customers, particularly a customer D.T. (email me!) who worked across the street at Alfred Sung. At the time of this picture, there were only 5 Starbucks stores in Canada, and I worked every one of them from time to time. This photo was taken from inside a truck as I temporarily moved back to Kamloops, something I seemed to do with alarming regularity in those days. I loved Vancouver, but come rainy season (September to May every year) I had to get the hell out.
