Inking Tray: Instead of holding a small plastic ink tray for 8 hours at a time, which in the dark made it hard to tell dry ink from fresh, I designed this simple tray, attached to an arm which hooks onto the top of the light table. The base of the wooden tray and arm can be slid onto the inking sheet to hold it down. Often, inking large areas makes the sheet warp temporarily, lifting off the light table and the rough drawing beneath, making it impossible to see. With this simple tray system, and the small, 20 watt clamp lamp, the ability to see my ink tray without shining the light on the image area, my productivity has greatly increased.
