Artech Building live-work lofts in East Vancouver  Built in 1994, this structure was truly designed for creative people and housed a great many unique, inspiring and gifted tenants. Artech even had it's own gallery near the main entrance. To this day, I have maintained an interest in seeing something like this built in Kamloops and would be eager to both invest in such an undertaking and purchase a unit.
     My stay here was not altogether long, due to a break up with my girlfriend, but was decidedly one of the most creative times in my life and I often wonder what my career and lifestyle would have been like had things turned out differently. Of course, I was living with two other artists, so that may have had something to do with my level of productivity and inspiration, and so too, was just entering my first year at Capilano College for Graphic Design and Illustration.  At any rate, the loft lifestyle appealed to me, and I have been trying to recapture some of that hyper creativity ever since.
